Collins Farm began with a journey — not just across countries, but across purpose. Around 14 years ago, Mike Collins left New Zealand to visit the Philippines, without knowing that this trip would transform his life forever. It was here, in Molave, Mindanao, that he met Katy — a connection that quickly grew into love for her, her family, and the warm culture surrounding them.
Seeing the challenges and opportunities within the local farming community, Mike envisioned something greater than a single harvest. He saw a way to help strengthen a family’s livelihood while uplifting an entire community. Together, Mike and Katy began their rice-farming journey 12 years ago, planting not just seeds, but the foundation of a business driven by integrity, tradition, and local impact.
Their family grew — now with three children — and so did Collins Farm. What started as a small local effort evolved into a trusted, community-centered agricultural operation. Today, the farm employs relatives and local residents, ensuring that every sack of rice seeds supports real families, real jobs, and real progress.
With modern machinery, professional accreditation, and a commitment to ethical farming, Collins Farm continues to grow year after year — not for scale alone, but for purpose. The future holds even more: plans for social projects, school support programs, and community initiatives designed to return to the community the same generosity that once welcomed Mike so warmly.
Collins Farm is more than a business.
It’s a family. A mission. A legacy rooted in the land — and in the people who call it home.
